Frequently Asked Questions about Workforce Housing
-
Absolutely. Workforce Housing residents enjoy the exact same finishes, appliances, and amenities as every other home in our community. The only difference is your rent — not your experience.
-
Great question — and the answer is simpler than you might think. These homes are set aside for residents who qualify based on household income. If your income falls within the program's guidelines (80%, 100%, or 120% of the Sarasota Area Median Income), you may qualify for a reduced monthly rent. That's it. Same home, same community, lower rent.
-
es! Roommates are welcome. Just keep in mind that the program looks at your total household income that means all income from everyone living in the home is combined when determining eligibility. As long as your household's combined income falls within the program guidelines, you're good to go. All occupants will need to be listed on the lease.
-
We love pets here! Workforce Housing residents are welcome to have pets under the same pet policy that applies to the entire community. Please note that any applicable pet fees or pet rent are your responsibility and are not covered by the program. Those charges are in addition to your monthly rent.
